Deluxe is Jayson Munro (vocals) and Dave Brook. A Electro-pop band started in 2009, but semi abandoned till 2011 with the recording of new songs. Deluxe is based out of the New Haven, Conn area. Both Jayson and Dave play multiple instruments including analog synths, drum machines, software that uses granular synthesis, guitar, and bass.
“Plastic Glass” is Deluxe’s first single to be released. Employing the use of technologies old and new, Deluxe adorns their songs with lush instrumentation. Drum machines, synths and guitar all intermingle on the “Plastic Glass” single creating ‘retro,’ yet edgy songs that will leave you wanting more. Jayson and Dave wield software like experts, as they do analogue instruments (guitar, bass, analogue synth). Whether you like synthy, anachronistic pop music or not; the passion embedded in the songs is undeniable. Solid, natural progressions with the icing of 80's styling make this Single freshly retro, a great first album. Deluxe plans on releasing a full LP on vinyl in January 2013 and a potential split Vinyl 7" with Werewolf Police.
